My passion is to train artist-activists and creative leaders for the community who are steeped in the 7 Elements of the Whole Artist: Curiosity, Passion, Sensual Development, Connectivity, Hunger, Knowledge, and Courage. Currently this approach to community-engaged theatrical activism is offered through addressing the refugee and immigration crisis. My work reflects a melding of my training steeped both in the Actor's Studio method I learned under the guidance of Arthur Storch at Syracuse University (BFA) and the global theatrical approaches I was exposed to in working with artists including Anne Bogart, Liviu Ciulei, Andrea Serban and Richard Foreman at the American Repertory Institute at Harvard University coupled with a community-engagement approach based on a decade of working with students in Florence, Italy exploring cross-cultural and integration opportunities through various projects and initiatives.
